The Kai 7230-SE 9" Professional Serrated Shear is considered an ideal length for most sewing enthusiasts.  Its micro-serrated blade is designed to cut and grip on even the most slippery of fabrics such as silk and satin. While it is also capable of cutting thicker fabrics with ease, the Kai 7230-SE meets most sewing project cutting needs.
 
The 7000 Professional Series, including the 7230-SE, are made of a high carbon, hardened stainless steel.  The addition of carbon allows for a steeper cutting angle, giving the scissor a sharper, finer edge.  The carbon also allows the finer edge to last longer.  This gives the 7000 series the ability to cut through thicker fabrics without fatigue.
 
*NOTE:The difference between the Kai 7230-SE 9" and Kai 7250SE 10" is that you gain the extra inch in the handle, not the blade.

    I have been sewing for over 25 years- these are the BEST scissors on the planet. I literally will not use anything else. When I taught high school apparel classes, I convinced through demonstration for the 5210 scissors be purchased for the classroom (they are affordable for the classroom)- for all 18 teachers in our county. I am personally obsessed with the 7230 scissors. They are amazing. I never hesitate to tell people about these scissors. I sound like I’m a salesperson half the time, but I just love them. Thank you for making a top quality product!
